Hi, I’m just finally setting up my first self-hosted blog so am looking for a theme. I love Florence and think it’s just right and does everything I want, but being new to this I need to ask what will probably seem a silly question. When I’m writing a standard post, will I be able to include more than one picture?
Sorry if this is a really stupid question,
    Ellen

      Hi Ellen,

Definitely not a stupid question! ๐Ÿ™‚

For a standard post in particular, you can assign 1 featured image to represent the post (and appear at the top of the post should you have this enabled). For any post type (including standard posts), you’re able to insert as many images into the post content area as you’d like. I hope this helps!

      Cheers!

Ooh that’s great – thanks so much. You may get a few more questions… I’m looking forward to getting started!

can i ask one more stupid question – and this definitely is. So I’ve bought, downloaded and installed Florence. Now how do I change the title so it doesn’t say ‘Florence’ on my blog?! Stupid i know

        • SoloPine says:

You’ll nee to upload your own logo via Appearance > Customize > Header and logo settings ๐Ÿ™‚

We’ve also included the photoshop file for the logo in the download folder ๐Ÿ™‚

For any further help I’d recommend reaching out on our support site http://solopine.ticksy.com

          Cheers!

Hi there! Really love the theme, it’s so light and beautiful!! One question: is there a way to add the number of comments next to the talk cloud icons on the homepage? Hope to hear from you soon!

    • Saske says:

Sorry to bother twice, but I have another question: is there a easy way to add YouTube video’s to my blogposts? Thanks!

      • SoloPine says:

        Hi Saske,

It’s possible with a bit of customization, we can definitely show you how once you’ve purchased the theme you can submit a ticket to our support site and we can help you out ๐Ÿ™‚

And yes you can easily post youtube videos with the video post format ๐Ÿ™‚

        Cheers

  4. Julie says:

Hi there, silly questions perhaps, but can I add a custom header? (I assume the florence text is an image?), can you change the colour of the social media icons? Thank you! ๐Ÿ™‚

    • SoloPine says:

Hi Julie, Yep! Florence’s logo is an image. You can replace it by uploading your own logo image within Appearance > Customize > Logo & Header Settings. You can also change the social icon colors via the Appearance > Customize > “Colors: Top Bar” or “Colors: Sidebar” sections. Cheers!

      • Julie says:

Thank you Julie (I’m Julie as well haha), two more questions if you don’t mind. Can I change where the text breaks for ‘read more’ and do I need to have an image at the top of every post, or can I also decide to not use the image features if I don’t need them? For example, if I have an image that I can’t get to that size/resolution because it won’t look good. Thank you again!

        • SoloPine says:

Hi Julie, For the “Read More” tag, you can insert it manually within your posts to decide where it appears. For the Featured Images, you’ll definitely want to assign a featured image to each post as this is what WP uses to pull into various parts of the theme, such as Related Posts and Recent Posts in your sidebar. It’s also what is used when someone shares your post on social media. You can also decide to hide all of your featured images from within Appearance > Customize > Post Settings. However, if you’d only like to hide a few featured images from select posts, you could use some Custom CSS to target them and hide them. We’d be happy to help with this ๐Ÿ™‚ Cheers!

  5. Before making an order i’d like to know if there any support for cyrillic fonts in this themeโ€‹?

    • SoloPine says:

Hi Sergey, Florence pulls its fonts from the Google Fonts directory ( https://www.google.com/fonts ) and uses “Crimson Text”, “Oswald”, and “Open Sans”. It looks like “Open Sans” has the option for Cyrillic & Cyrillic Extended, though “Oswald” and “Crimson Text” do not.

You could always replace the “Oswald” and “Crimson Text” fonts in Florence with other Google Fonts that do indeed support Cyrillic. I would recommend going to Google Font’s directory and using the “Script” drop-down menu to browse all of the available Cyrillic fonts to see if some appeal to you ๐Ÿ™‚
      Cheers!

Hi, I have a question. I am using this theme and when you click at the author informations – the link below shows my private e-mail address – although I have changed the public name. Can you tell me, how can I change this?

    • SoloPine says:

Hi there, If you could head on over to our support site at https://solopine.ticksy.com and open up a new support ticket, we’d be happy to help ๐Ÿ™‚ Cheers!

      • studACT says:

I donยดt know how to get a ticket, because I have to purchase it at envato and I have no idea how to get there? I mean really? For a simply question?

        • SoloPine says:

Hi there, Our themes are only for sale via ThemeForest/Envato. If you purchased the theme, you can find your purchase code within your “Downloads” page in order to open up a new support ticket at https://solopine.ticksy.com.
