Child themes are like little carbon copies of a WordPress theme, or the parent theme, which share the same functionality. When you create a child theme, you’re making a duplicate shell of the parent theme.  Should you wish to play around with or customize the theme’s code, you can safely do so with the child theme’s, leaving the parent theme untouched and preserved.

Cassia Theme Update

Cassia version 1.1 is now live and ready for download! Numerous fixes were made to correct minor bugs in addition to some newly-added features commonly requested by users.

The update includes the following:

  • Added: Secondary Header Layout (Logo above the menu) – View the demo
  • Added: Option to disable indenting in post content (Found in General Options)
  • Fixed: Social Links now open in a new tab
  • Fixed: Updated the .po language file
  • Fixed: Issue involving image captions and responsiveness
